The project will involve the installation of a pedestrian bridge to link the Casares del Mar promenade with the existing path to the Torre de la Sal.
Yesterday, the Town Council approved the award of the works contract to the company “Urinci S.L.” for 161,976.54 euros, at the proposal of the contracting committee.
The aim of the project is to connect the recently built promenade of Casares del Mar to the municipal area of Estepona, with the existing path to the Torre de la Sal, and also to connect with the road to the Perla de la Bahía urbanisation, thus improving the accessibility of the area, and giving general continuity of transit to the coast with a maritime corridor along the entire coastline.
The Town Hall is completing the formalities so that work can begin shortly on the construction of this infrastructure, which is part of the Coastal Path projects in the municipality of Casares, and is financed by the Provincial Council.
The project includes the construction of a pedestrian bridge with a span of 30 metres and a width of 2.40 metres, over the bed of the Arroyo de la Jordana, as well as the foundations necessary for its construction.
